FlightyMap ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our flight visualization service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you use Google Sign-In, basic profile information provided by Google (name and email).

Flight Data

When you import your Flighty export, we store the flight information contained in that CSV file, including:

• Flight dates and times
• Origin and destination airports
• Airline and flight numbers
• Flight status (completed, canceled)
• Other flight details from your Flighty export

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our service, including your IP address, browser type, and usage patterns. This helps us improve our service and troubleshoot issues.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our service
• Display your flight history on an interactive map
• Generate statistics about your travel history
• Enable sharing features (public map links) when you choose to use them
• Communicate with you about your account or our service
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Public Maps: If you enable the public map feature, your flight routes (but not personal details) will be visible to anyone with the link.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for authentication and database services, and Google Maps for map visualization.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Our service integrates with:

• Supabase: For user authentication and data storage. See their Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps: For map visualization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Wikipedia: For city images (no personal data is shared).

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent for optional features (like public maps)

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
